I would like to welcome all the area golfers to start of the 2010 golf season here at Headwaters Country Club. With the March weather having been unusually warm we will be opening for play on Saturday, March 27th. As usual we have some areas on the golf course that took more time for the frost to go out to allow these areas to dry out. The golf course came through the winter in excellent condition and we are excited to get golfers out there to enjoy a rare March opening day of golf here at HCC. We will be offering a late March and early April discount where you can play 18 holes of golf with a golf car for $30 or walk 18 holes for $20. A reminder to Headwater members -- if you have not paid your 2010 dues, you will be expected to pay green fees.
If you recall, last fall we started with our renovation of #15 green and #16 green. Keith and his crew were able to get these new greens built with the root zone mix in place, new bunkers were added and irrigation installed. Plans are under way to have these greens seeded by the end of April. If everything goes according to plan and 'old man weather' cooperates, the new greens should be ready for play by mid-July. In the mean time, we are playing the two par 4’s that are located between #14 and #15. We are very excited about the addition of these two new greens and you will be able to see them now as you play the hole number 16.
We will be having a blowout sale of clothing, shoes and clubs to get you ready for another golfing season. New this year we are offering memberships for golfers age 35 and younger at $565 for a single or $750 for a family plus we are continuing to offer memberships for golfers age 30 and younger at $368 for a single and $525 for a family.
